Add-ons extend Firefox, letting you personalize your browsing experience. They can make a tiny tweak, or bring a whole new range of features. Here are some of my favorites:

  • Flashblock – Blocks all flash on webpages. Only loads if you click on it. Great for sites like MySpace that have unwelcome and risky ads.
  • Forecastfox – Weather in your lower info bar; current temp and conditions, 2 day forecast, hover over for radar.
  • del.icio.us Bookmarks – If you have a del.icio.us account you can post sites with one click.
  • Download Statusbar – Instead of a pop up with download status, you get a nice little progress bar in the bottom left of the status bar.
  • Google Browser Sync – Syncs your passwords, bookmarks, & more with Firefox on different computers.
  • StumbleUpon – tool bar that allows you to randomly find kewl websites with one click.
  • Tab Mix Plus – Tab manager for Firefox. Total custom controls.

This browser for your cell phone is now one of the most used feature on my phone. The start page includes an address bar, search, bookmarks, rss feeds, & history. It’s also very fast. Just go to mini.opera.com on your cell phone and download it. Or you can go to www.operamini.com on your computer and text the download to yourself. The processing of the website is don’t on Opera’s servers so you can visit almost any website out there and it adapts to your phone.

Think of eBible like a web 2.0 Bible. But eBible.com is not only an online Bible, it has multiple versions of the Bible, commentaries, dictionaries & encyclopedias. It is also a place to get a greater understanding and share. eBible.com is adding more tools all the time like browser toolbars & rss feeds.

Wordpress is prewritten software you can upload to your website that creates a blog-based website on your own servers. Then you can customized it with predesignedtemplates, plugins, and widgets. It’s a quick way to throw up a website without a lot of work. This site, FaithHacker.com is built with wordpress. Here are some examples of sites I’ve made using wordpress:

EngageConference.com
SaylorvilleBaptist.com
SaylorvilleYouth.com
ImpactAustralia.com
